Sunday, Day 5, after dark in pouring rain.

Dedicated EV1 supporters from Rainforest Action Network, Earth Resource, supported by Global Exchange and other groups and with other Citizens and passerby, choose to spend their President's Day for clean air and for saving the last EV1. Home-made pastries and hot meals from the local Riverside Cafe made things nice. This area is the former riparian wetland bed of the mighty Los Angeles River.

Linda (on the left) has been indispensible, coordinating the campaign on-site and making sure of publicity, with co-chair Mike. Chelsea (center) is an EV1 expert who cares a lot about EV1. Rainbow appears over NoCal EV supporter Tom D.

Saturday rally 2/19, Day 4 scenes

Solar power brings down peak daytime electric demand, and slow charging of plug-capable electric cars overnight helps even out the usage curve. PV-EV actually reduces energy usage, and helps attain energy independence.
